We believe our success is underpinned by an engaged, diverse and inclusive workplace culture, and an environment that supports employee health and wellbeing. Our culture is supported by our values, behaviours, employee engagement, equal employment opportunity, diversity, and learning and development – and we work to embed it throughout our organisation. Convened by our Chief Executive, the DevelopmentWA Culture Group acts as a communication and feedback conduit for the whole organisation and a champion for culture development, values and leadership.

AT DEVELOPMENTWA WE AIM TO EMPLOY, ENGAGE AND RETAIN HIGH-PERFORMING, VALUES-ALIGNED STAFF BY SUPPORTING THEIR GROWTH AND LEARNING.

The total number of people employed across DevelopmentWA grew to 254 over the past 12 months, as we successfully filled existing vacancies and created new and exciting opportunities to deliver on key Government priorities and initiatives.

Our people

Employee health and wellbeing is critical to the successful attraction, development and retention of our workforce. In addition to complying with legislative requirements, we invest in programs to enhance health and wellbeing to provide positive outcomes for our staff, strategy and projects.

Workplace health and saftey

We continued to develop our leaders and emerging leaders through initiatives including the My Learning Journey program and training for People Managers, while  mentoring and coaching programs and Aboriginal Insights cultural awareness training were rolled out to all staff.
